ULYSS FINISHES THE 2017 SEASON PLACED IN THE GRAND PRIX 1.45 m AT THE MECHELEN SHOWJUMPING
Ulyss Morinda has finished a particularly successful 2017 season (with more than 12,000 euros in winnings and an ISO 150) at the prestigious Mechelen Showjumping (Belgium). Despite a little bit of bad luck, he has been much noticed by both breeders and the public in general.
He took part in the “Sires of the World” on the 27th of December where he was noticed by all because of his spectacular jumps.
Three days later on the 30th of December, Ulyss and Rik took part in the 1.45m Grand Prix. Ulyss didn’t touch a single pole but they were just over the time with one time fault. Unfortunately they had drawn a place right at the beginning of the class and Rik hadn’t had the time to see that the allocated time was exceptionally short (more than half of the horses competing had time penalties).
This meant that here as well Ulyss couldn’t compete in the jump off, for the sake of 3/10 of a second : 74.3 when the allocated time was 74.0! He did however finish 8th in the class thanks to his magnificent clear round!
