Ulyss Morinda was placed in the 1.45m in the Longines in Paris

Ulyss Morinda was very much on form at the Longines in Paris, where he found himself for the second year.  After a calm clear round on Friday the 1st of December 2017 in a 1.35m class (nevertheless ending on a Joker fence of 1.50m), the following day he ramped up his efforts at the request of his rider RIK HEMERYCK!

Together they carried out a splendid performance on the Saturday and were placed 6th in the 1.45m class sponsored by ‘Le Figaro’.  As Ulyss is still young, Rik Hemeryck didn’t want to ask him to go any faster just to chase a win!  Next year maybe?  They finished within 3 seconds of the winner and only 0.3 seconds behind the rider who finished 5th.

In any case, Ulyss MORINDA, THE ONLY COLOURED HORSE to compete in the LONGINES, was much noticed.  Particularly for his practically perfect style and his catlike suppleness!
