Ulyss Morinda and Rik Hemeryck win the Lier (Azelhof) Grand Prix
First victory over 1.50m for our young stallion !
On the 20th of August 2017 Ulyss and Rik took part in the Lier Grand Prix. There were 62 riders representing 14 countries and the competition was serious. At the end ten partnerships were qualified for the jump off : Belgium for sure, Spain, Switzerland, the USA and Great Britain.
The first two riders set the pace with clear rounds : it was a very fast course! But Rik Hemeryck, who went fourth, had obviously decided to win this class and he was the only one who went faster than 34 seconds! He rode an breathtaking jump off with a highly motivated Ulyss, who gave everything his rider asked! What a partnership!!!
It was at Lier that Ulyss took part in his first 1.45/1.50 in March : what progress he’s made in just five months!!!!
BRAVO to Rik who has patiently moulded Ulyss over the last two and a half years!
